Lahkeet levenee

Viime viikolla kävi mielessä ei-niin-pillien farkkujen hankinta. Onneksi muistin kaapin perälle hautautuneet vanhat miesten bootcut Gapit. Ne oli alunperin hieman liian suuret, joten otin koneella vähän ulkosaumaa sisään. Tuloksena sain melko täydellisen leveälahkeiset farkut. Ei liian trumpetti-lahkeiset, vaan kauttaaltaan leveähköt. Pidin jo niitä perjantaina koko päivän, yhdistettynä Topshopin kiilakorkoihin, ja Massimo Duttin villakangastakkiin. Olo oli heti jotenkin sofistikoituneempi kuin pillifarkuissa ikinä.

Last week I wanted to find a pair of new jeans, something else than skinny jeans. Luckily I remembered a pair of bootcut boyfriend jeans from Gap buried in the back of my closet. A pair that was a bit too big for me. With the help of my sewing machine, I made them smaller. The result is surprisingly good. Now the jeans are transformed into a pair of 70's inspired pants. Not too much flair to my liking, but nicely different silhouette. I already wore them with my Topshop ankle boots, and Massimo Dutti coat. Can't believe how much sophistication a right pair of jeans can bring into an outfit.
